Located in a quiet part of Carmel sits the Carmel Mission which this day was closed to visitors so I perched myself on the low garden wall and painted this quiet scene on an overcast day with a hint of sun trying to break through, rolling fog in the distance. During the summer heat of the Central Valley - what a lovely view with lower coastal temperatures.
