Half Moon Bay Lagoon, Half Moon Bay, CA10 x 8”, Oil on Linen
Escaping the heat to visit the coast was a treat after months of sheltering in place so this road trip was dedicated to cool weather and painting, oh yes and good food. This Inn is perched adjacent to the harbor and on this chill afternoon, I had a view of a dune area with lots of wildlife meeting moored boats. The issue to painting boats is that they move with the water and wind. But this day there was just a slight breeze as the evening approached creating only slight shifts and a wondrous alignment.
