A hero of mine is Diebenkorn and only after painting did I see this influence. I do like the bird’s eye view of a map, maybe with neighborhood paths, parks and ponds. But only after it was painted. While I painted I’m just playing starting with some favorite colors and laying down shapes that fit together to make a design.
